How to support President Obama in the White House

    I saw a video of one of Senator Obama's speeches where he said he would design his Health Care plan for the U.S. differently by having all of the stake holders at the table on CSPAN so the public could view the event.  Also Senator Obama said he would make sure the industry does not have an excessive number of seats at the table.

    I think this is a GREAT idea and so unlike our current administration where Cheney forms energy policy only with the industry behind closed doors.

    But for this to work Senator Obama will need our help.  There will be a great amount of pressure to keep it from ever happening.  So here is my thought on how we can help Senator Obama fulfill his mission of openness, excellent policy development and public participation.  We will need to seem unbiased by taking advantage of the current situation where both Democratic candidates know the need Oregonians votes.  We demand that both Democratic candidates develop all policies, (health care, energy, war and peace, global warming, etc.) in the public manner as previously described by Senator Obama, i.e. on CSPAN or some other at least equally public venue, with all stake holders at the table and without the industries for which it is developing policy having an excessive proportion of seat.

    By acting unbiased and demanding action from both candidates, Obama will have political cover when he gets elected, making it easier for him to do what he wants to get done.
