Hi! I have started a petition to stop the proposed Site C Dam in
northern BC, Canada, and am
inviting you to PLEASE sign it and forward it to everyone you know.
With a background in wildlife biology, I have read the reports, done
the research, and can tell you, this is a BAD idea! With a lifespan of
only (maybe) 100 years, this project threatens to wipe out a huge chunk
of extremely significant land, including habitats for several
endangered species and essential Grizzly Bear corridor. If you are
interested in environmental
health, preservation, hunting, fishing, human history, archaeology, or
First Nations concerns to name a few, please put your name on this
petition and tell the BC Government that it is time to find a real
solution rather than this devastating "quick fix." Our politicians and
businessmen are looking only at the short term; we need to make them
consider the future. Once this precious land is under the dam, it's
gone forever! There are other solutions. Let's ask our government to
develop them instead of destroying our natural resources. Please visit
the site below, and sign your name! It will only take a moment, but
will mean so much!

I don't think that the below link is unworthy.

For a relaxed environmentalist here is one link worthy to look at.
